YAYASAN KEPIMPINAN & STRATEGI MALAYSIA
(Malaysia Leadership & Strategy Foundation)

Yayasan Kepimpinan & Strategi Malaysia (YKSM) is a strategic think-tank dedicated to partnering with the public and private sectors to increase knowledge and other resources, ensure national and international competitiveness, and harness progressive leadership to unify a prosperous Malaysia with a common vision of a democratic and harmonious society.

Established in 2008 through the leadership of the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Deputy Prime Minister, YKSM will offer resources, guidance and other assistance that will enable Malaysian organizations to achieve consensus among multiple stakeholders and provide progressive public and private sector leadership. These resources include in-depth policy research and analysis, mediation and other dispute facilitation, leadership and other organizational training, strategic planning, international knowledge exchanges and benchmarking.

To compete more effectively internationally, and to achieve Vision 2020 and other key national objectives, Malaysia needs to collaborate and achieve consensus on issues affecting business, education and economic development. Achieving agreement requires wider perspectives based on in-depth, impartial research and analysis, education, leadership and the ability to impartially mediate and reconcile competing interests. As a result, YKSM was established as a framework to provide analysis, planning, mediation, training, and other resources to public and private sector organizations.

Organizations requiring assistance can benefit from two YKSM offerings – Leadership Policy Centre (LPC) for informing and improving public policy through research, information dissemination and discourses; and the Leadership Development Centre (LDC) to enhance progressive business, political, and societal leadership.

To ensure accurate data, illuminate new perspectives and facilitate decision-making, the LPC provides research, analysis, publications, and conferences that are all focused on consensus-building, political development, leadership empowerment, competitiveness, change management and other strategic initiatives, international trade, environmentalism, quality-of-life and related issues.

The LDC seeks to improve the strategic and operational capabilities of Malaysian institutions by sharing best practices and providing consultative and other resources for economic growth, collaboration, strategic alliances, benchmarking, organizational excellence, scenario planning, crisis management, and branding.

Business, educational, cultural, civic leaders and others committed to progressive leadership, knowledge, and the fulfillment of Malaysian goals are cordially invited to join YKSM to share their expertise and experiences.
